| Clear Filigree Italian Glass Bowl by Fratelli Toso Avem Type 1950’s We are very proud to offer a scalloped “random” filigree clear glass bowl 8 inches x 7 inches with a pinched rim. This bowl is internally decorated with pastel canes & murrines. It is very similar to red AVEM with the striped mezza filigrana, mossaico, aventurine, & patterns of murrines on a clear glass background. It even has "pink" ribbons.It was made by Fratelli Toso in the 1950’s & has the blue metallic Toso label. This bowl is a Rare, scarce example. One bowl very similar is on P. 163 of Leslie Pinas book Italian Glass Century 20. The bowl is in original & excellent condition. There are tiny black spots, like “pepper” here & there. But they are in glass which is perfectly smooth. You have to look hard to see them. These black specks are black "coal" found in VERY early Toso glass. | ||
