We are very proud to offer a hard- wood table screen 22 inches high x 13 inches wide. This screen has applied to surface front small shards of colorful porcelain. We were told when we bought it that those shards were from the Ming Dynasty. Many archaeological digs in China unearthed several ancient pottery factories along the Yangtze River in Hubei Province. Perhaps these shards Are Chinese Imperial Pottery pieces, abiet 300 years old! What a nice way to save them & show them off! The screen is very old & made with “pegs” to hold it together. The back has a hand-painted scene of everyday life. There is age crackalure in the wood around the applied porcelain but not too bad, see photo. The stand into which the screen sits is reticulated & very ornately carved. The small ball spheres really turn! The screen fits loosely in stand due to its age. It looks to be about 80-100 years old. Wood table screens like this have been selling at big auctions for $2,500.xx to $4,500.xx. This is a fine decorative Chinese object. We are putting this fine old screen on Holiday "sale" for $450.xx from a value price of $750.xx. Paypal only. We ship UPS. Buyer pays shipping & insurance. UPS charges $2.60 for every hundred insured, so it will be $50.xx for insurance + shipping (UPS 3 day Air).
