| We are very proud to offer one of the worlds finest examples of the Chinese polychrome grasshopper on the “ bok choy” cabbage. This beautiful colorful ivory carving is 7.75 inches long & would date to late 19 C. or early 20th C. The carving is the finest to be found anywhere! The detail is just amazing & fantastic. There is a tiny lady-bug, flowers, vines, etc. The grasshopper even still has his two antennae. This piece is in original & excellent condition. It has a fitted stand. One of these sold at Christies in London recently & brought $12,000.xx, although it was longer, it was not carved as well as this one. We take Paypal only. We will ship in USA, only, via UPS. We are no longer able to sell Ivory to anyone in California or New York. The state of Calif. passed a law in April 2012 banning the sale of ALL Ivory in Calif., even the antique Ivory. In the near future, I think this law will be over the entire USA.. & the World. If you want to buy Ivory You should do so while it is still "legal". | ||
