A mammoth huge zen temple gong from Hosho-ji buddhist temple in Gifu Prefecture. Another name for the temple is Mt.Kada. The donator is Ashimura Village and the donors names are written on the bell. Dated Taisho 7 May 1st, C.1919. The bell was made by Tauemon Okamoto. It took two of us to lift the bell and the sound is magnificent. 87cm tall x 48cm in diameter.
