Exquisite Kannon, goddess of compassion and mercy on round bronze plaque in fine raised relief. 36 cm in diameter, the Kannon has a blissful, serene expression. Lovely "Do-Chu" hand hammered copper tea ceremony "Chaire" for keeping the green tea powder and prized for its ability to maintain its pristine freshness. Brilliant Kamakurabori box with peonies carved in relief lacquered in red vermillion. The inside of the box is lacquered in black. The bottom of the box has the characters Showa 45 meaning it was carved in 1970, Spring by a Mr. Tami.
