Antique Japanese Temple Roof Gable Tile C.1940
Spectacular and very rare 'koi' carp swimming up a waterfall temple roof gable tile. The fact that it is intact and not broken is amazing. Carp swimming up a waterfall is the symbol of courage in Japan and when they make it to the top they turn in celestial guardian dragons protecting the buddha's teachings. Fantastic. Ask for shipping quote. Clay. H:2' x W: 30"
