Antique Japanese Shigaraki Ceramic Soy Storage Jar
Excellent trademark Shigaraki green striped soy storage jar from turn of the century, C.1910. Shigaraki was one of 7 famous kiln areas in Japan and is just outside of Kyoto. They were known for their sake and soy storage jars with the distinctive Shigaraki green and blue glazes over a hagi base. In very good condition with a kiln firing scar around the spout at the bottom. H:43cm x diameter: 31cm. Ask for shipping quote.
