Fantastic Juichimen Kannon Bosatsu in a zushi altar. Edo Period C.1865. This travelling altar has an inscription on the inside reading "Dai Hanya meaning heart sutra and the name of Myoshin-ji Temple in Kyoto. . The kannnon has many heads on her head. Her face is just lovely. It is old and the feet are broken as well as the stand she sits on. The zushi is in remarkably good condition with minor lacquer wear. Kannon is 12" tall. Zushi is 19" tall by 8" wide. Ask for shipping quote.
