Appealing art deco sculpture - an old wood pot stabilizing hearth hook called a jizaikagi. Hung from a bamboo pole over the irori or hearth fire in an old japanese minka or farm house to stabilize the cooking pot and to adjust the cooking height. Years of smoke has put a wonderful patina on this marvelous chunk of Keyaki zelkova wood. 49cm tall by 37cm wide. Ask for shipping quote. Very good condition.
