Antique Japanese Dairi-Bina Hina Emperor Doll c.1900

A lovely example of an antique Japanese hina Girls' Day Festival doll with a Kyoto nishiki silk costume. Carved detail of the hands dates this piece to late Meiji. Slight wear on the nose tip and around the left eyelid due to age. Detracts little from the stunning appearance. Inset glass eyes; simple black ho hat. c.1890 - 1910. (13" x 13") (33cm x 33cm).
