Japanese Antique Taisho Period C.1915 Bronze Vase
Unusual japanese bronze flower vase, signed with the original kiri (paulownia wood) tomobako box. On the lid of the box is the kanji 'Sentoku Tsubogata Hanaire' meaning the design is like a japanese tsubo or tea storage jar and smoked straw was used at the end of firing to achieve the rich colored markings and patina. The vase is a 'hanaire' meaning a flower vase. The hanko or seal of the artist is on the box but unfortunately we cant read it. perfect condition with karaki wood stand. $475 Shipping/insurance to usa/western europe $75. (h:18cm x dia:15cm)
