| Exceptional 2 panel Kawabata Shunsui painting of bamboo and peony flowers on silver leaf paper. Shunsui was born 1882 in Kyoto and died at an early age of 1934 after achieving recognition as one of the bright stars of Taisho Period (c.1912-1926) screen painting. He spent extensive time in India in the 1920's. The bamboo leafs are exquisite as well as the peonies. Excellent condition; no holes or tears. (l:159cm x w:67)email for shipping rates. | ||
