|The poem on this painting reads, "The clouds wind through the village mountains and the river winds through the center of the valley village, a clean center of purity and truth" by Kim Ok Jin aka Ok San (born 1927). Kim Ok Jin's paintings generally sale for three to four thousand dollars at auction. We can provide scans of auction pages as examples. This painting is a fine example of Kim Ok Jin's obvious skills with the brush. Almost the entire painting is composed of dabs of the brush, with very few lines. By this, he avoids a stereotypical landscape, yet the winding curves of the mountains and the rivers are more accomplished and clear than any other painter could accomplish with clearly-defined lines. The emotions are conveyed in a less direct and more deeply-felt manner. Ink and light colors on paper. Frame: 34 x 25.25 inches, 86.5 x 64 cm; Painting: 25 x 16 inches, cm.|
