| Jade Green Silk Korean Woman's Jacket (Jeogori). In Korea, the beauty of a woman's jacket was judged by the curvature of the sleeves and the color. By both criteria, this is a most beautiful Jeogori. It is padded for warmth (Somjeogori). Prominent design and function roles were played by the bow ties (Goerum), and this reddish purple Goerum succeeds in both roles, matching the lapel and cuffs. And the cuffs have a further touch of quality: a blue floral lining. Jackets with contrasting colored cuffs and ribbons are called Banhoejang-joegori, as opposed to plain single color Minjoegori. The color of this gorgeous jacket evokes the jade green of Koryo celadon. 50.5 x 14 inches, 128 x 36 cm. | ||
