Signed Antique Japnases Ivory Okimono of Bijin

This beautifully carved, 7 inch, Ivory Okimono of a Bijin carrying a basket of flowers has a very appealing and soft gracefulness about it. The artist displays his skill not only in the flowing lines and folds of the finely etched kimono, but renders the flower bouquet in an amazing show of intricate and delicate detail. As finely crafted as the Kimono and flowers are, what caught my eye when I first saw this piece was the kindness and serenity that the artist was able to capture in this women’s facial expression. The piece is over a 100 years old dating it to the later Meiji era and is in excellent condition for an older piece of Ivory with no chips cracks of repairs and with only some slight age lines on the base. The piece carries the signature of its creator on the base bottom. On all of our items we offer a 100% MONEY BACK GUARANTEE. For further details please go to the return policy link on our homepage.
