| This striking cloisonne vase is done with a deep midnight blue background enamel, depicting a very well executed bird of paradise perched on a beautiful multi colored rock (done in sculptured wire), amongst a wide variety of vivacious flowers. Some of the flowers include chrysanthemums, peonies, irises, and Chinese bell flowers. On the back of this lovely piece there is bamboo growing in the midst of red chrysanthemums. The wire work is great all over the piece but especially in the feathers of the bird. The piece is in good condition with restoration to the top right shoulder (last picture). The top mount, throat and bottom mount are done in brass. The bottom mount has taken a small hit making it slightly out of round and causing a tiny area of enamel loss in the scroll work (second to the last picture) The piece stands 6 in. Unsigned.
