| Finely hand engraved Martin Hall silver plate basket with classical themes. The inspiration for this iconography may have been the discovery of the Alexander Sarcophagus" in Lebanon in 1887. Width is 10 3/4", height to top of bail is 8 1/2". Execution of the hand engraving is masterful with only condition issue a couple of spots to the plate in the bottom of the bowl. The finest of English silver plate. I have additional images available. | ||
