This is a graceful and highly wearable pre Eagle Mexican cutwork bracelet by H. Santana, dating probably to the late 1930s. The workmanship on the bracelet is exceptional, and examples of old Mexican cutwork of this quality are getting increasingly scarce. The bracelet is comprised of seven hinged panels with a wearable length of 6 1/2 inches. The panels are 1 1/2 long, and the bracelet has an old pin closure, which works perfectly. It has a lovely soft patina, and is in excellent condition, with minor surface scratches appropriate to its age. It is marked H. Santana, Sterling, and Silver Mexico.
