German porcelain figural match strike with muzzled dogs and the title "According to the Rule 1875 - 76." This strike depicts the stringent muzzle law imposed in England and much of Europe in 1875 to combat a rabies outbreak. Unmuzzled dogs could be killed on sight. Condition is mint, with the slightest wear to the gilding. Size is 3 " long, 2 " wide and 2" tall. A strike for the advanced collector.
