| This is a beautiful, early Mexican silver bracelet by Jose Anton, a designer who worked in Taxco. It is pre-eagle, dating probably to the late 1930s. The bracelet is comprised of seven segments, each measuring 3/4 by 1 inch, with a total wearable length of 7 1/2 inches. The entwined knotwork motif is similar to those found on the work of many other Mexican designers, including Spratling and Hector Aguilar. This example is enlivened by the addition of small dots running through the central channel of each of the knots. It is in lovely condition, with a beautiful, soft patina and the small surface scratches typical of pieces of this age. International buyers, please contact me for shipping information. | ||
