This is a beautiful and very early necklace made in Taxco. It features the cornflower motif used by many of the Mexican artists. Each of the flowers is made by hand, using green glass for the stamen of each flower. The quality of this necklace is extremely high, though it is signed simply Taxco, Sterling and 925. It probably dates to the 1930s. It has the old style hook closure, and has a wearable length of 20 1/2 inches, and is in excellent condition for a necklace of this age.
