A large late 19th Century Japanese polychrome group of a lady standing with a young boy in her arms, the boy is holding a fan. Finely enameled with colors consisting of blue, red, pink and aqua. She measures 14 ¾ inches in height and is in excellent condition with no repairs nor restorations. It is very difficult to come across a bijin with child such as this.

Rare Imari plates, dating to the late 17th century, in the shape of a crane with wings arched above its head enclosing a circle. Plates are 7 1/2 inches in diameter with the embossed crane depicted in blue, red, green, and gilt on an underglaze blue background. Some wear to the gilt otherwise very good condition with no repairs nor restorations. Interestingly, this is very similar to the JAL logo.
