Brass. Excellent condition. Choker length measuring approx. 5"x 8". Interior opening measures just over 4" in diameter. It is correctly signed "Art Smith" on the rear.

Rare pair of sterling silver kinetic earrings by important New York Modernist Sam Kramer, circa 1950s. The earrings are constructed with a biomorphic shape with a raised bar from which another shape dangles freely. Each earring measures 1.25" long. Superb and rare modernist design brooch by important African American silversmith Art Smith, circa 1950s. This pin is in sterling silver, a more uncommon medium for Smith. That, in addition to the unusual naturalistic theme of the piece, make this a desirable find.

The pin is in excellent condition and measures over 3" in length. It is correctly signed "Art Smith" on the rear, although "Art" part of the stamp is obscured by part of the design. It is also stamped "sterling"...

Incredible, completely handmade 'passementerie' necklace by California artists Alex & Lee, circa 1980s. In blue, green, silver, purple and gold cord holding a large piece of gold iron pyrite. The necklace is in very good, gently used condition, with appropriate age related dirt and very minor signs of wear, but no damage.

Every Alex & Lee works of art are one-of-a-kind and unique. Their pieces have been featured in major magazines and runway shows...

Fabulous long dangling sterling earrings designed by Karl Gustav Hansen for Hans Hansen of Denmark. These earrings are from the 'Future' line of jewelry manufactured by Hans Hansen between 1932 and 1948. They measure 2.75" long and .5" at the widest. They have been professionally converted for pierced ears, and are in excellent condition. Signed as shown.

Hand-hammered circa 1950s sterling "snake" ring by famed New York City modernist Sam Kramer (1913-1964). The "Snake" series was an important design concept for Kramer. This ring is completely hand made, and very solid, heavy and sturdy. The finish work is exceptional. The ring is a size 7, and measures 1.2" wide. The interior opening is .75" in diameter. It is signed "STERLING and with Kramer's "mushroom mark. In excellent vintage condition.

Husband and wife team Irvin and Bonnie Burkee have been creating jewelry together since the late 1940s. They produced one-of-a-kind as well as limited production designs. This large pendant features a startled looking woman, frozen inside a maze of irregularly shaped concentric forms. Both sides of the woman are beautifully formed. It is truly a piece of 'wearable art.'

Innovative design from Bent Knudsen, one of the top Danish silversmiths. The bracelet is a parabola, upon which an amethyst mounted in silver slides freely. This is a large and heavy bracelet. It weighs about 39.6 grams / 25.5 dwt, and measures approximately 3" in diameter.

The amethyst, which is much lighter than it appears in my photos, slides along the entire diameter of the Bracelet. The cabochon stone measures about 1/2" x 1/2"...

Signed Venini decanter measuring 11.25" tall (with the stopper in place). It is approximately 5" wide at the base. It is a vivid baby blue in color, with hints of green, surrounding the blue, and cased in clear glass. This is a rare early 1950s piece from the top glassworks in Italy. The decanter has a correct three line Venini acid mark on the base. This form is shown in the catalogs and literature. It is in excellent condition.

A rare bottle by seminal designer Gio Ponti for Venini, circa 1950. The bottle is "incalmo," meaning that the translucent deep green top half was fused while hot onto the opaque red bottom section. The stopper is red and clear. The bottle measures 13.5" tall with the stopper in place.
