A flaring squared vessel in thick cobalt blue glass, the sides embedded with emerald green and deep blue cullet. Inscribed "Alberto Toso & C., Murano Maggio 1948." This unique vase was part of the famous 1998 Sotheby's auction "Important 20th Century Glass," and still bears the Sotheby's sticker.
There has been some discussion about whether this piece is actually by the famous Czech designer Milan Metelak, with a spurious signature. I have heard compelling arguments on both sides...

Very large, unusually colorful pair of circa 1950s figurines attributed to Archimede Seguso. These figurines are finely detailed, meticulously crafted, and whimsically styled. In translucent olive to yellow glass, with gold detailing.
The woman holds a gold basket filled with fruit, the man a bundle of wheat. As is typical of handmade figurines of this era (which did not use a mold), their faces are smooth, with only their noses expressed...

Fabulous circa 1920s Murano candlesticks in ruby red, a color rarely seen in early Italian glass. Each candle stick has two applied opaque green glass pears with black stems. The execution and design of this pair is exceptional. In excellent condition. Unsigned. Each just under 10" tall. Note: the photos make the items look as though they are leaning. This is just a sign of my bad photography and not a problem with the items. More photos of this item can be seen on my website PlanetGlass.net.
