Brass cuff necklace and earrings set by Hungarian born Mexican artist Pal Kepenyes, circa 1960s. The handcrafted pieces each old matching Mexican opals of pale orange color. The necklace measures approximately 4.5" in diameter and has chain hook in the back which can be either worn or left open. It is just over 1.25" at the thickest. The pendant portion dangles freely. The earrings are screw-backs in good working order. They each measure just under 3" in length. The necklace is stamped "Pal Kepenyes Mexico." The earrings are unsigned but clearly en suite with the necklace. I purchased this set from the original owner, who bought them directly from Kepenyas in the 1960s. Good vintage condition with some dirt and patina. |
