Rare pair of lovely figurines by Barovier & Toso, circa 1930s - 1950s. They are quite large, with the male figurine standing 13.5" tall, and the female 12.25." Their bodies are solid glass, with sparkling gold dust over a deep green. Their arms and heads are clear glass. The female wears a clear and gold scarf, the male a clear and gold wide brimmed hat. The woman's skirt is hollow, and done in clear glass with white filigrana. The man's pants are solid glass with the same internal filigrana. The bases, typical for Barovier, are clear with gold around the exterior rippled wrapped rims. Each base has a pontil mark. The figurines have lost their labels long ago, and are not signed. These spectacular figurines are in excellent condition with absolutely no damage. Domestic US shipping, handling, and insurance for this item will be $35.
