Enormous Early Venini Filigrana Bowl by Tyra Lungren

Spectacular and extremely large early example of a classic 1930s design by Tyra Lundgren for Venini. In clear glass with extremely fine, thin amethyst filigrana. The exterior is iridized. The bowl bears a three line acid stamp reading "Venini Murano Italia," as well as a partial Venini label.

The piece is very large, measuring 12.5" long, 7.5" wide, and almost 7" tall. In excellent condition. Numerous examples of this design are seen in the literature and in the 1930s Venini catalogues. There is an almost identical example on p. 165 of "Venini: Catalogue Raisonne.
