This is a charming First Period Dr. Wall Worcester piece with the "Butterboat Mansfield" pattern painted on it, in leaf form with exterior molding. Later examples of this pattern (1760 - 1765) were marked with an open crescent, but the workman's mark on this one would place it prior to that.

Measuring 3 1/4" in length, including the handle, 2 1/2" in breadth, and 1 1/2" tall, the piece is in excellent condition, with a white paste (the bluish color in the main photo is quite inaccurate), bright enamels, and no chips, scratches, or repairs. There is a 1/8" tight hairline Although this is a flaw, however minor, it is not as detrimental to the value and appearance as a chip, and with a little cleaning, would be almost totally invisible.
