This is a fine example of Worcester porcelain, dating from around 1758. It is a patty pan, an uncommon and very desirable form. As most of these do, it has the "Mansfield" pattern painted on it. The reverse has a workman's mark, indicative that this piece was made in the earlier part of the 1757 - 1780 period during which this pattern flourished.

The pan is 4" in diameter, and is in spectacular condition, with no chips, cracks, nicks, or restoration. Please note that the disturbances on the rim at 12 and 1 o'clock are reflections, and not problems in the pan.
