Pair Japanese signed large "Nabeshima" Bamboo Basket design Dishes, Edo to early Meiji period, with very finely combed high foot in underglaze blue and "Kotobuki(Longevity)" Kanji impressed mark on the bottom, 8 1/4" diameter-top rim, 4 1/4" diameter-bottom rim, 2" high, Basket weave design on top of the dish with very small scratches on top of pale powder blue and red basket weave design in overglaze enamel, underglaze blue coin design underneath the dishes. The condition is good, no damages or restorations.

Pair Japanese most stunning large Satsuma Vases, signed "Kinkosan" in gold, Ca. Meiji period 1890's, 9 3/4" high, 3 1/4" diameter-top rim, 3 7/8" diameter-bottom rim, The story telling surroundings, ladies and children are outing in the beautiful garden scenery wearing most beautiful silk Kimonos with finely detailed pattern of silk brocade highlighted in low relief brilliant gold design, most of the gold decorations are done with one(1) hair brush in perfect brush strokes flowing around inside the wide center of the vases, surrounded with four(4) or five(5) floral and geometric pattern of narrow bands painted with very tiny small exact pattern of brush strokes in brilliant gold. Most of the decorations are so tiny smaller than hair line, camera can't captured the very detailed fine designs. Each vase depicting different stories but continues one vase to another vase, ladies and kids are outing in the most beautiful Japanese garden and lake under the red Maple trees and tiny geese are flying far above, and ladies are carrying paper and bamboo made Umbrellas. The condition is near perfect, some flat gold band designs are worn on the bottom, not noticeable unless you put vases upside down.

Meiji period, late 1800's, 26" high, 16 1/4" wide, 3/4" depth, two(2) ladies preparing traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony, incised silver geometric design border on black Lacquered panel inside black lacquered frame which also shows incised silver design. There are some small lacquer losses around the frame, shows crack in the wood panel in the back but does not show from the front, inlaid mother of pearl and bone picture is in good condition.
