Japanese Mother of Pearl and Bone inlaid Lacquer Panel of Tea Ceremony, Ca. Meiji period, late 1800's, 26" high, 16 1/4" wide, 3/4" depth, two(2) ladies preparing traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony, silver geometric design border on black Lacquered panel inside black lacquered frame which also shows silver design. There are some small lacquer losses around the frame, shows crack in the wood panel in the back but does not show from the front, inlaid mother of pearl and bone picture is in good condition.

Japanese Black Lacquer on wood Scroll shape Display Stand inlaid with Mother of Pearl Cherry Blossom pedal design on top and crushed Abalone shell inlaid on the front and back side, or Bonsai Stand, Ca. early 1900's, 6 1/2" wide, 4 3/4" deep, 3/4" high. The condition is good except tiny black lacquer losses mainly on the bottom, shows some surface scratches on black lacquer finish.

Set of Eight(8) Japanese two different shades of Gold Maki lacquered covered bowls, Ca. late Meiji early 1900, 3 1/4" high include top or cover, 4 1/2" diameter top rim. Raised low relief design of Gold Maki Lacquered Ferns and other flowering plants behind rock garden on dark chocolate color of lacquer on wood. The beautiful and detailed fine Lacquer work was done two different shades of gold in different relief design continues to the cover, bottom and side ways. Inside the bowl is very light color of cafe au lait color, different than outside dark chocolate color. Two(2) gold lacquer butterflies decorated under the cover. There are very minimal few tiny lacquer chips average size of 1/8" on the bottom and top rim, not very noticeable.

Japanese Lacquer Trunk with Maki lacquer low relief decoration of large Lotus flowers on five(5) side(top, front, back and both side), and stamped brocade Bronze finish Strapping, 14 1/2" high, 24 1/2" wide, 17 1/2" deep, include inner black lacquer tray fitted over the top rim inside. The top cover is separate piece, not hinged, fit on the top rim of the main trunk. The large Lotus Flowers in the water design is spread out on all five(5) sides, bottom is finished with black lacquer. The straps are overlapping onto the bottom, and one side of bronze finish fitting was missed before and replaced with oval shape piece long time ago, the other side is complete with original pieces. Each corner of joint is split and small size of lacquer losses on the various areas, no major lacquer losses. This Maki lacquer trunk has a beautiful old patina.

Pair Japanese Lacquer Tables or Stands, gold lacquer decoration of large Peony flowers and scrolling vines on black lacquer background, 3 1/4" high, 8 1/2" wide-widest point on top, 4" deep-deepest point, table top fit into the base. There are some lacquer losses on the corners the size of 1/4" x 1/8" wide and others are smaller in size.
