Very large Chinese Blue and White Double Happiness Porcelain Jar and old matching Top, Ca. before 1850's, 17 1/2" high include cover, 9" wide-maximum widest part in the middle, underglaze blue double happiness characters in four(4) areas between sprays of scrolling vines and snow peas decoration. The details of decoration is much finer brush strokes than later pieces made in later part of 1800's or early 1900's. No damages on anywhere even old matching top. It is very hard to find any large pieces of old porcelain without any damages.

Chinese Celadon crackled Stoneware Vase, ca. Ming period 1425-1644, 7" high, 5 1/2" wide-widest part, nicely crackled and shows raised rings like wheel pattern on the entire body by the turning wheel by the artist. Glazed with Celadon color inside the heavy top rim area, and the bottom is unglazed. One side shows darker area caused by the firing with wood burning inside the Dragon shape kiln. The condition is good, no damages.

Japanese early Meiji period deep wood Merchant chest, or box with three(3) deep graduated size drawers with black iron handles, 11" high, 16 1/4" deep from front to back, 8" wide, retains light honey color original finish. Chinese dome top woven Bamboo Basket for food stand on the octagonal shape high foot, Ca. before 1900, 11 1/2" high, 11" diameter top rim with brass hinged round dome top. Two(2) Brass handles on the both sides and Brass lock compartment in front. two(2) brass rings hold the top and bottom together. Low relief Chinese floral design on the lacquered gesso panels on the high foot. Gesso applied on the cloth finish glued together inside the top rim area. The condition is as is found condition, shows wears and separation between woven basket and gesso decorated area.

Japanese Hardwood, maybe Keyaki wood Writer's Box with dark brown almost black finish, also known Suziribako, for writers and calligraphers, later part of Edo period 1800's, 9 1/2" high, 8 1/2" wide, 13" wide, with heavy black iron mounted hinges and drawer pulls, top lift up to open for storage for the necessary utensils for calligraphers or writers, two(2) drawers under the top. One(1) black iron hinge is rusted in small area, otherwise the condition is good, no restorations or refinish.

Chinese 19th Century Famille Verte Porcelain Pillow, Ca. mid to late 1800's, 9 3/4" wide-front, 6" deep, 6 3/8" high-front lower part, with overglaze enamel decorated of the double Peacocks on the mosey rocks draped by Plum tree branches and flowers in the front lower part. Couple Swans with giant Lotus flowers and Pods in the backside of the higher part, and bottom is not decorated, shows orange peel surface. Large open area on one side to grab the pillow with hand, the other side has double coin shape openings decorated with small flowers for air circulation. One(1) corner on the bottom is filled with clay about 1/2" wide and small area was painted over later date. This pillow shows some glaze worn area around the corners.

Chinese Blue and White Porcelain Fish Bowl, 10" high, 9 1/2" diameter-top rim, 11 1/2" wide for maximum width in the middle section, Ca. late 1800's, 2 boys are holding large vases which is surrounded by flowering Plum trees waiting for Spring, Ruyi head decorated border under the rim, all blue decorated in underglaze blue. Bottom is unglazed with underglaze blue "Kangxi" mark but made in 19th century. There are several glaze chips on top of the rim and kiln cracks inside the bowl, not outside.
