Very large size of Imari Vase or Urn, made during later part of 1800's Meiji period in Arita area, 36" high, 12" diameter -top rim, 15" wide-widest measurement, with fluted top rim, very vivid color of Imari, horse man and another man playing musical instrument while they are traveling together. Beautiful colorful Peacock design between two(2) large panels of the horse and a man playing musical instrument. Around the bottom area, high relief large Peony flowers decorated, all the designs of entire vase was done by overglaze enamel, resting on the raised high rim. If you see some lines in the picture, that is the part of the designs, there are no damages or restorations.

Japanese heavy wood Trunk from the Castle, made during Meiji period(1868-1912), 19 1/2" high, 20 1/2" wide, 13 3/4" deep, with heavy black iron mounted on four(4) corners, lock plate compartment and two(2) handles which can be lift up for the carrying with two(2) wooden poles by two(2) man, one in front and other man in the back. Top lift up to open, Kanji written in red Lacquer to identify the usage of the trunk which is for Armor usage on two(2) sides. Condition is good, just showing the wear and tear but all the black iron mounted hardwares are in place.

Japanese woven Bamboo Trunk is for storing textiles, dolls and other light weight items, 10 3/4" high, 25" wide, 15" deep, early part of 1900's, with heavy black iron mounted lock and carrying handles on both side, lined with paper inside, folding top with black metal hinge, red lacquer wooden stripes on the bottom support the chest. There are some separations between joint and lacquer loses.

Japanese Blue & White Imari deep Serving Dish, heavy and deep for serving, 12" diameter, 2 3/4" high, with underglaze blue decoration of mountain, pine tree and Japanese style house. Wide border of flowers in blue transfer design on both inside and outside rim, underglaze transfer blue mark on the bottom. Stained old chip 1/2" wide on the foot rim, and some scratches on top of the dish.

Pair Japanese Blue and White Porcelain Hibachis, 12" high, 17 3/4" diameter-outer measurement, 12 3/4" diameter-inner rim measurement, with almost 2 1/2" wide flat rim on top. All decorated mountain scenery and trees are in underglaze blue. The rim is 2 1/2" wide with Dragon in the cloud design. The condition is good except some Kiln original imperfection like small missed glaze spots and some darker sand spots which is very typical when Kiln produce the large heavy Porcelain items.

Japanese Blue and White Transfer ware Porcelain cut corner Square deep Platter, 12" square, 1 1/2" high, pine tree, mountain and river design in the center, and tree foliage and butterflies in different shade of blue decorated on the wide border. One shallow flake chip 3/4" wide underneath the rim and some old frits on the corner of the dish, and scratches in the glaze on top of the dish.

Pair Japanese Brass/Bronze Hibachis, 19th century, with high relief design of travelers in beautiful landscape and elephant handles on both sides, 8 3/4" high, 9 7/8" diameter on top rim, 12 1/2" diameter with the head of elephant handles. Japanese full set of bamboo pole and carved hardwood fish hearth hook, or tea pot holder over the open fire inside the house, from late 1800's to early 1900's, 66" high when used adjustable black iron chain on top(can be extend 10" to 20" more), 54" high for bamboo pole with iron pole inside to hold fish and hook, and the fish is holding heavy black iron flame shape double hook and flexible iron support chain to hold fish straight. The carved fish is dark hardwood, realistic well carved-10" long, 3" high, 2" thick with open mouth and the bottom of the fish is somewhat worn with age above the iron hook but no cracks. The bamboo pole has crack, that is natural aging after staying above open fire for many years everyday. The large round iron ring has open area with old age. This full set of Jizaikagi is complete original condition and good example of Japanese Mingei.

Japanese Black Cast Iron Saki Pot with red Lacquer on wood top, 9 1/2" high with handle, 9" wide with spout and 6 1/2" diameter-tea pot. Two(2) handles each on the upper and lower side are for carrying and lock two(2) pieces together. There are some wear and tear but ready to use at any time.

Japanese Cloisonne pale lavender color vase, 8 3/8" high, 4 1/2" wide-widest part, 2 3/4" diameter-top rim, with wireless decoration of snow capped Mt. Fuji, and silver wire and enamel decoration of the Shrine on the higher ground under the Cedar trees, and fishing boats in the lake near the small island, with silver mounted top and bottom rim. There is one(1) bruise under the top silver rim about 1/8" x 1/4" wide and slight lines show on the top next to silver rim.

Japanese Meiji period Cloisonne Charger with Phoenix Bird design in the center, 11 7/8" diameter, 1 1/2" high, made during later part of 1800's. Few areas underneath the plate around rim shows some loss of enamel between the silver wire and some glaze hair lines. Small size about 1/2" to smaller size of enamel loses on the bottom rim. Retains old label.

Japanese Cypress and Pine wood two(2) section Tansu, Meiji period, 42" high(21" high for upper section), 34" wide, 17" deep, with heavy black iron round back plates and pulls, warm reddish original finish, two(2) graduated size long drawers in upper section, one(1) long and one(1) shorter drawers beside two(2) small drawers on the right bottom in lower section. Two(2) handles each on the side for carrying and lock together. There are cracks about 4" - 6" long each on the front part of drawer in lower section next to black iron hardware pulls, wooden front section of the drawer is thicker wood. Lots of Kanji writing is on the bottom section of the Tansu.
