Pair Japanese most stunning large earthenware Satsuma Vases , signed "Kinkosan" in gold, Ca. Meiji period 1890's, 9 3/4" high, 3 1/4" diameter-top rim, 3 7/8" diameter-bottom rim, The story is telling beautiful landscape surroundings, ladies in silk brocade Kimono and children are outing in the beautiful garden scenery wearing most beautiful silk Kimonos with finely detailed pattern of silk brocade highlighted in low relief brilliant gold design, most of the gold decorations are done with one(1) hair brush in perfect brush strokes, scenery is circling around the entire vases inside four(4) or five(5) floral and geometric pattern of narrow bands, also painted with very tiny small exact pattern of brush strokes in brilliant gold. Most of the decorations are so tiny smaller than hair line, camera can't captured the very detailed fine designs. Each vase depicting different stories but continues one vase to another vase, ladies and kids are outing, playing games or talking each other in the most beautiful Japanese garden scenery and lake under the red Maple trees, and tiny geese are flying far above, and ladies are carrying paper and bamboo Umbrellas. The condition is near perfect, some flat gold band designs are worn on the bottom from the handling by hands, not noticeable unless you put vases upside down.

Japanese Marquetry inlaid Table, mid 1800's, beautifully detailed various design and color of wood Marquetry works are displayed in this three(3) functional table, all in one(1) table as a Book Stand, a Chess table and a Sewing or Work Table, 33 1/2" high, 13" deep, 35 1/2" wide when it is open, 17 1/2" wide when two(2) leaves are closed, with inlaid 4 side brackets support leaves on both sides. This multiple purpose table comes in two(2) parts, separate stand with curved black lacquered legs connected to the rectangle shape stretcher on the bottom to strengthen the legs. There are two(2) small drawers above one(1) long drawer next to the small door inlaid with Persimmon wood Cherry tree, and mounted with stamped white metal. Inside the door, there are small drawers. There is a removable inlaid board pull out from the front bottom area on top piece, use as a work table in front and also can be used as a reading board on top of the back as a reading table. This table is a multiple purpose table and space oriented, plus a very beautiful piece of Marquetry furniture in any room setting. There are slight warping on the table top, some wear and tear on wood surface, no missing inlaid pieces, but one small attached tree branch is missing on the small door on the right side, considering a very delicate piece of puzzle type marquetry wood work, the condition is good.

Very Large size Japanese Arita Imari region Porcelain Trumpet shape Urn or Vase,with Pie crust fluted Rim, 19th C. 1890, 36" high, 12" diameter to 15" wide(pie crust fluted rim), very detailed traveler with horse and attentant, Prince was playing flute while they are resting in the pleasant landscape scenery decorated in the widest central overglaze Cartouches, stories continues 360 degree with very intricate designs repeated around Peacocks. High relief large Pink Peony flower branches on the high raised bottom rim. Some darker lines are part of the detailed design, not crack. The condition is very good, no damages or restorations.

Pair Japanese carved solid Wood Shrine Guardian Lions, 10 1/2" high, 6" wide, 11" deep each, wonderfully aged, bleached and weathered being outside above Shrine or Temple heavy door frames. These Guardians also called Protector, or Shishi Dog, one mouth open and another mouth closed, always as a pair, placed on the top of the door hinges or under the eave in front of the Shrine doors to protect and stand Guard outside before entering the Shrine. The details of the carving is bold, humorous and very detailed, like fat feet and tummy, fierce eyes, and face expressions are very humorous and cute. The condition is good, one side of ear belongs to the one mouth open Shishi is somewhat bruised and missing a little piece of wood, and shows the age and weathered cracks on the both Guardian Dogs.

Japanese Maki Lacquer double Cherry Blossom shape Box, Ca. Meiji 1868 - 1910, 1 5/8" high, 5 5/8" x 3 1/8" wide, low relief of double Gold and tarnished Silver design of Cherry flower pedals with multiple seeds lined up perfectly on the top, and one side shaded with silver leaf tarnished and the other side is in gold, low relief Pine trees with some shaded darker, some pure gold hidden here and there on the shaped sides, sparkled gold design inside the box and on the bottom. Superb and excellent quality of lacquer brush work displayed for this Double Cheery Blossom Box. The condition is excellent, no damage, no restoration.

The finish is original reddish dark Brown chestnut color on the beautiful Keyaki wood Grains, couple splits in the back side from shrinkage over the years.

Japanese Keyaki wood with beautiful bold grain two(2) section Tansu with movable Brass Turtle and Eagle decoration on Black Iron Round Back Plate with Brass rim, heavy weight, Meiji period, 1890-1900, 46" high, 48" wide, 17 1/2" deep with two(2) graduated long drawers in upper section above one(1) shorter drawer next to two(2) small secret drawers inside the heavy black iron mounted blind door on the bottom right side. The secondary wood is Cedar and Cypress mixed on the side and inside the drawers. All the black iron lock plates are decorated with Brass Turtle and black iron Eagles with Brass beak, Brass Turtles are swing around to cover the key holes. All the handles and corners are also black iron. Some of the black iron corners on the bottom area shows sign of old age, small pieces are broken off, couple small dents and old age wood separations are on the top, otherwise the condition is good.

Japanese Keyaki Wood front heavy weight two(2) section Tansu with heavy black Iron Eagle mounted and back plates plus Brass Turtle, Meiji period, 1890's, 46" high, 48" wide, 17 1/2" deep with two(2) long graduated size drawers on top section, lower section consist of one(1) shorter drawer on the left side and two(2) small drawers hidden inside heavily mounted hinged with black iron door. Black Iron raised Eagle back plates with Brass Turtle around key holes, handles are also heavy weight black iron, all the corners are wrapped around with black iron. Tansu has square wide and long handles for carrying on the side, and bottom and top sections can be fasted with these side handles, mixed wood inside the drawer, Cedar wood smells good. The condition is all original.
