Japanese 19th Century Meiji period Cloisonne Vase, with silver wire, Ca. 1880, 7 1/4" high, 3 1/8" wide- widest part, very fine enamel work with Dragon and Phoenix Bird design inside Shield shape separate windows, with silver wire on the Green Enamel background, finished with silver top rim and bottom. Green Enamel finish half way down inside the vase. The condition is good, no damages.

One(1) cup has one(1) glaze hairline about 1" long, barely visible, and some sand marks while firing in the kiln inside the cups.

Japanese Shibayama inlaid oval shape Pin or Brooch, Ca. 1890-1900, Meiji period, 2" wide, 1" high, 1/4" deep, inlaid with Mother of Pearl large Flowers and Butterfly and Coral flower Buds in Persimmon Wood backing. Mother of pearl flowers and coral buds shows low and high depth of the beautiful carving, Butterfly is waiting beside them. The quality and Beauty of the Shibayama work is well known. There is aged dark small line in upper left side about 1/8" long is stained over the age between shrinkage of the natural material. Metal pin in the back is marked silver.

Set of Eight(8) Japanese different shades of Gold Maki lacquered covered bowls, Ca. late Meiji early 1900, 3 1/4" high include top or cover, 4 1/2" diameter top rim. Raised low relief design of Gold Maki Lacquered Ferns and other flowering plants behind rock garden in early spring on dark chocolate color of lacquer on wood. The beautiful and detailed fine Lacquer work was done two different shades of gold in different relief design continues to the cover, bottom and side. Inside the bowl is very light color of cafe au lait color, different than outside dark chocolate color. Two(2) gold lacquer butterflies decorated under the cover. There are very minimal few tiny lacquer chips average size of 1/8" on the bottom and top rim, not very noticeable.

Both sides are dark reddish brown lacquer finish, all original condition. Few small black iron back plate pieces are missing, shows some wood split caused by natural wood shrinkage.

High relief large Pink Peony flower branches on the high raised bottom rim. Some darker lines are part of the detailed design, not crack. The condition is very good, no damages or restorations.
