Pair Japanese most stunning large Satsuma Vases, signed "Kinkosan" in gold, Ca. Meiji period 1890's, 9 3/4" high, 3 1/4" diameter-top rim, 3 7/8" diameter-bottom rim, The story telling surroundings, ladies and children are outing in the beautiful garden scenery wearing most beautiful silk Kimonos with finely detailed pattern of silk brocade highlighted in low relief brilliant gold design, most of the gold decorations are done with one(1) hair brush in perfect brush strokes flowing around inside the wide center of the vases, surrounded with four(4) or five(5) floral and geometric pattern of narrow bands painted with very tiny small exact pattern of brush strokes in brilliant gold. Most of the decorations are so tiny smaller than hair line, camera can't captured the very detailed fine designs. Each vase depicting different stories but continues one vase to another vase, ladies and kids are outing in the most beautiful Japanese garden and lake under the red Maple trees and tiny geese are flying far above, and ladies are carrying paper and bamboo made Umbrellas. The condition is near perfect, some flat gold band designs are worn on the bottom, not noticeable unless you put vases upside down.

Pair Japanese Nabeshima Dishes, with large Festival Flag decorated, Ca. Edo to Meiji period, 5 3/4" wide, 1 2/1" high, 3 1/8" diameter-bottom rim, very finely decorated underglaze blue combed high foot and high wave in the ocean design in the faded blue underneath the dish. Top is decorated interlocking geometric design in underglaze blue and with Kanji writing plus bamboo leaves and floral decoration inside three(3) round orange red circles in overglaze enamel. One(1) tiny frit is touched with white paint in lighter color of blue dish, so small to show in any closer up pictures. The other darker color of blue dish is in perfect condition.

Japanese Brown large heavy weight Earthenware Hibachi with bumpy irregular hand constructed and molded body and iridescent thick drip glaze, Ca. late Edo or early Meiji period, 1800-1890, 12 1/2" high, 13" wide for rounded soft square top rim, 15" wide in the middle widest part, 12 1/2" diameter for unglazed bottom, multi color brown thick drip glaze on brown body, the bottom is not glazed. Japanese Mother of Pearl and Bone inlaid Lacquer Panel of Tea Ceremony, Ca. Meiji period, late 1800's, 26" high, 16 1/4" wide, 3/4" depth, two(2) ladies preparing traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony, incised silver geometric design border on black Lacquered panel inside black lacquered frame which also shows incised silver design. There are some small lacquer losses around the frame, shows crack in the wood panel in the back but does not show from the front, inlaid mother of pearl and bone picture is in good condition.

Chinese Blue and White Porcelain Double Happiness brush washer, Ca. 1900, 3 3/4" high, 4" wide-widest part, 2 1/8" diameter-top rim, with snow pea flowers in the midst of scrolling vines and leaves. Two(2) dark blue Happiness Chinese Character on both side in underglaze blue. All the underglaze blue decorations are done very fine brush stroke and the blue color is old and just right shade of blue. Export Antiquity wax seal is on the bottom. Small stained frit 1/2" x 1/4" wide on the unglazed bottom rim, tiny stained frit on the side of the top rim.

All the detailed hand painted decorations are done by overglaze enamel and highlighted with touch of brilliant gold, and brilliant turquoise color was used. Two(2) Chinese Blue and white square shape Tea Caddies, Ca. 1800, with low relief interlocking lattice work and underglaze blue "Long Life" Chinese Characters in the center on all four(4) sides, 5" high with sterling top, 3" square, with very pale bluish green glaze, the bottom is unglazed. Square shape like this one is usually built by square slabs, not using turning wheels. Sterling impressed mark "Sterling" tops were added later time, can be used with sterling top on or without.
