Japanese High Relief Ivory and Mother of Pearl inlaid of ladies in tea ceremony, on black lacquered panel in wider and deep frame picture, made late 1800's, Meiji period, 26" high, 16 1/4" wide, 3/4" depth, with silver inlaid decorated border frame. The details of the carved and embossed silk dress is incredibly fine, and the ladies faces are pretty and really well done, used all different natural materials and their natural colors. There are some small pieces of lacquer loses the size of 1/8" to 1/2" and the surface is dull and scratched over the years in some areas, this is as found condition.

18th Century Edo Tokugawa period one(1) panel of Japanese gold leaf screen panel, 66" high, 23" wide, 5/8" depth with water color painting of floral decoration on 4" square gold leaf paper. This single screen panel still have the red lacquered wooden frame and brocaded silk border on top and bottom. Some of the pigment of the water color paints chipped off but still remain the brilliant old pigments on gold leaf paper. There are some tears about 2" or smaller areas in few places repaired long time ago, no other tears or damages, the back is pasted with regular backing papers and in good shape.

Chinese Blue and White bottle shape Jar with narrow opening on top, 3 3/4" high, 4" wide-widest part, 2 1/8" diameter-top rim, with snow pea flowers in the midst of scrolling vines and leaves, two(2) dark blue Double Happiness Chinese Characters on both sides, all the decorations are done in underglaze blue. Export wax seal is on the bottom. No damages expect very tight bruise about 1/2" x 1/4" wide on the inner side of the unglazed bottom rim.

Chinese blue and white porcelain Incense Burner, 3 3/8" high, 7 1/4" diameter, made later part of 1800's to early 1900's, various style of band on the outside the burner, and black ink writings on the bottom under the thick white glaze round dot about 3/4" wide which is all original, nothing added later date. Unglazed interior 1/3 down and bottom and also inside the bottom rim. No damages or restorations.

Chinese Blue and White Porcelain Ginger Jar, 7 3/4" high, 7 1/2" wide-widest part, made later part of 1800's with Double Happiness Chinese Characters on three(3) sides among scrolling vines with snow pea flowers in underglaze blue. This Ginger Jar has right kind of top, decorated with double happiness character on top. The blue decorations are continued all the way to the top rim, leave very thin unglazed top rim, most of other ginger jars of this kinds are: top covers outside the jar rim but this top goes inside the jar top rim. There are some Chinese characters written in black ink under the lid, unglazed area-please see picture, this writings appeared to be old writings, maybe original, not added later date. No damages or restorations except kiln imperfections which is very typical of this kind of blue and white wares.

Two(2) Chinese Blue and White Porcelain high footed Serving individual Dishes, 1" and 7/8" high, 3 3/8" and 3/5/8" diameter, two(2) are slightly different sizes, decorated floral pattern in underglaze blue, mark on the bottom. One of the dish has 3/4" long very tight glaze hairline on the bottom center section around the marking, impossible to show in the pictures, the other dish is in good condition, no other damages or restorations.

18th century Chinese Export porcelain with European Subject, 4 7/8" high, 11" diameter, with all overglaze decoration of the European figures in different activities in front of European style Castle. One side has mom giving a chick to a child, the other side is decorated with 4 men discussing matters around the table in separate cartouches. Hairline has been restored and the glaze somewhat yellowed inside the bowl. It rings like a bell.

Chinese Export Canton blue and white procelain trivet or hot pad, 5" square, 1/4" high, with typical blue Canton design of Pagoda, boats and willow trees in the lake next to bridge, in good underglaze blue. This is little lighter color of underglaze blue decoration than another trivet listed stock #1A21 but made during same era 1840's. There are tiny bubbles popped and became tiny frits around the rim, no major damages. Please see my listing just before this one for another Canton blue and white trivet/hot pad.

Chinese Export Canton blue and white porcelain hot pad/trivet, ca. 1840's, 5" square, 1/4" high, with typical Canton design of Pagodas, willow trees, bridge and boats in the lake, a man inside the Pagoda reading book, decorated in good underglaze blue with unglazed bottom. The underglaze blue is very good color of blue, representing the early part of 1840's. Two(2) shallow glaze chips about 1/8" wide on the upper left side rim and tiny bubbles popped and tiny frits around the edges but this is typical for Canton wares. No major damages.

Tibetan Wool Rug, 61" x 30", lined with hand sewn fabric underneath, very soft wool in touch with even wear and soft colors of navy blue border and flowering branches in soft dark Salmon color with key pattern in narrow blue border surrounded the Ruyi shape large flower branches on both side in soft lighter blue with beige color, supporting the "Long Life" Character in the center. Korean Black Iron frame Lantern, circa 1890-1920, with wooden base on the bottom with one(1) drawer, white rice paper is draped on the upper iron frame section, 29" high for maximum height (include the handle 2 3/4" high), 10" x 10" square. Inside the upper section which is covered with rice paper, there is a long hanging iron candle holder with round iron dish from the upper hook which is attached to the wide top iron frame, the candle holder is removable from the round small eye hook. The front door is hinged, opens from left to right and the latch in front to close the front part of door tightly, all in good working order. There is a small tear on the rice paper section about 2" long but still in place comfortably without open space.
