McCoy’s vases from the 1951 Arcature line are becoming difficult to find! This one is 6 ¾” tall and is in the pretty yellow and green color scheme and the little bird is white with blue accent color. Vase has a 1” interior stress – it’s production. It has crazing that is not unusual with this color. Bottom is marked: McCoy, USA. As with many McCoy items, this one has some McFlaws that are particularly interesting! There a couple burgundy color dots (under the glaze and not detracting) but I wondered why that color was on a yellow and green vase – then I saw the burgundy color pottery clunk inside the bottom. It must have broken off a completely different McCoy piece, fell into the arcature vase, and was fired on! This is not only a pretty McCoy vase but it’s a neat conversation piece!
