We offer for purchase this RARE WESTMORELAND SPECIALTY COMPANY Antique Milk Glass CRAW-FISH COVERED ANIMAL DISH! This item is being sold primarily for the LID as the base has been extensively damaged and glued back together a long time ago. This is a RARE Covered Animal by Westmoreland Specialty Company circa 1900-1920. The base is the exact same shape as the easier to find Turtle covered dish by Westmoreland and are interchangeable. The lid has a small chip to the edge and some very minor roughness along the edge which is common for these due to the mold removal. There are also the expected edge stress hairlines as well. On the tail of the Craw-fish there is what appears to be a bubble in the glass that shows a bit clear. All this said, this item is still very sought after and if you happen to have a base or in need of a replacement Craw-fish lid, then this is the Unique Opportunity for you. We have of course priced this item accordingly to the condition. The overall measurements are 7 1/2 X 4 3/4". The lid itself measures 5 1/8" X 2 5/8" X 2 3/4". The wonderful and heavy Silver Plate Candlesticks are in very good original Silver Finish. There is some light wear and the undersides are actually Silver in appearance even though they look dark in the image we have included. There are no marks on the silver or glass that we can find. This is an early and very desirable set of sticks. The overall height is 16" tall while the shades each measure 10 1/2" X 4 1/4". The Silver Plate bases measure 6 1/2" X 5 1/2". There are some extremely small in the original grinding roughness to the bottom of the shades where they fit into the holders, but this is from the original grinding of the glass and not damage. We offer for purchase this marked HAWKES Trefoil Acid Mark in the Ground and Polished Pontil Steuben crystal blank twist stem compote. This item was created by the STEUBEN Glass Co. during the Frederick Carder era. This item clearly was meant to be engraved by HAWKES but for some reason it did not get finished. The ruffled bowl of this item has a few inches of raised bubble like anomalies as well as several in the making slumping lines which would have been easily cut out with the pattern and no one would have been the wiser. But again for some reason, it was spared the cutting and now you have the opportunity to own a unique piece of TRUE STEUBEN / HAWKES prior to it's Hawkes cutting. This item stands 6 1/4" tall and the ruffled bowl top measures 6 3/4" across at the widest point. There are some small in the making bubbles and some base wear but no chips, cracks or repairs. This item has an applied Tear Drop shaped finial atop the blown Jade Glass lid. The base and stem are of Jade Green Glass while the applied foot is of Alabaster Glass. As is common for this type of ware, it is unsigned but we guarantee it to be correct and original. There is one small in the making bit of what looks like a bit of darker green glass annealed to the underside of the bowl of the compote. In reality, it looks like an eyelash. This item has a wonderful French Blue body with applied White glass reeding over the upper section of the vase. The base has a ground and polished pontil. A fairly good amount of wear on the base and the body as well as some scratching. This item has been loved and used often. This vase has some very small in the making Blown Glass Bubbles as to be expected for Blown Glass and it also has a very light interior crazing effect to the glass, which is not sick. The base has the Steuben Fleur de lis acid etched signature (we tried to show this but could not get a good image to photograph). The vase stands 7 1/2" tall and measures 5" across at the widest point. This is an original and hard to find Steuben shape #6980. No chips, cracks or repairs. Most likely of French 20th Century origins, this item reminds one of Deco Daum Nancy, G. Argy Rousseau and Primavera just to mention a few outstanding Pate' de Verre artists. The Red Glass flows boldly into the soft Yellow glass. The rows of Circles above and below a central band are all raised and low relief. The entire item is in a soft satin finish. It is very possible that this item may have been used as a Magnum Wine or Champagne Coaster as it measures 5 1/4" across the base and sits 1 7/8" high. A stunning work of Art Glass that will not disappoint your decorative needs. When placed under a light this item comes even more to life. We proudly offer for purchase this MAGNIFICENT German Porcelain Figural Clock by Hamburg Amerikanische Uhrenfabrik aka Hamburg American Clock Factory circa 1892. This wonderful clock has two courting figures in full dress and surrounded by many applied flowers. The clock stands 13" tall and measures 9" across at the widest point. The Porcelain Clock face has the (HAC) Crossed Arrows Mark and the Case has a form of the Sitzendorf Blue Hash Mark under-glaze underneath the body of the clock. The clock works had worked fine up until about 15 years ago when it was safely packed and put into storage. The works need to be cleaned in order to be working again. There are a few minor flakes, floral tip losses here and there, nothing major but the Woman's fingers (thumb is present) on one hand have been chipped and could use being repaired. There is also a small flat chip on the bottom of the scarf but again, much of this is to be expected with a very complicated figural porcelain clock of this type. We offer for purchase this very *RARE* Original J.B. OWENS Art Pottery Pedestal Base ONLY for a jardiniere. This item is decorated in a Matte Glaze that J.B Owens used to compete with the early decorated Matte Lines at Rookwood, Weller and Roseville potteries. The background is a very Deep Brown/Grey coloration and the Slip Hand Painted Tulips are on the front side only of the Pedestal. There are raised figures of Dolphins which appear around the base of the Pedestal. This item stands 16" tall and measures 9 1/2" across the base, 6 1/4" across the top and the inside top ring where the Jard will sit measures 5" across. There are some very minor scuffs and a small flat glaze flake to the painted surface at the bottom edge which really is of no harm for this item and its overall size and common base flakes that are usually encountered on Pedestals are present. There is some light white residue that I have not attempted to clean off and I will leave this for the next owner to decide if they wish to. Overall Very good condition and no Cracks or Repairs.
