We proudly offer a true Danish Art Deco Art Potter pair of Busts by Michael Ejner Andersen circa 1935. This stunning and almost shockingly humorous Man with Pipe and Woman with Hat are a true matching set. The White faces are covered in a White Smear Glazed finish while the cloths, and hats have a crackled Luster finish trimmed with deep copper luster. The Old Woman's hat is hand painted in bright floral/colors. Each bust is about 4" tall. Each has the most expressive Curmudgeon Faces one could ever imagine. Each items base is marked with the 3 Herring Andersen mark and remnants of paper labels. She is also impressed 3935-1 while he appears to be impressed 3734-1. No chips, cracks or repairs.
