Greentown 2 Chocolate Glass Cactus Pattern Tumblers. One tumbler has a small bottom edge flake while the other has a bit larger bottom edge chip, but still very displayable! Greentown Chocolate Glass Cactus Pattern Tumbler! Jacob Rosenthal developed "Chocolate Glass" for the Indiana Tumbler & Goblet Company (aka Greentown) and was released to the public in May of 1902. The very successful line was the star production of the firm until it was destroyed by a Catastrophic Fire on June 13, 1903. As with almost all of Original Greentown Chocolate Glass that survives today, this item may have in the making small air bubbles, dark ash spots or streaks withing the glass as well as edge stress lines created during the cooling process all of which are not considered damage and are natural occurring anomalies inherent to the brittle Greentown Chocolate Glass. Wonderful ORIGINAL GUARANTIED GREENTOWN GLASS COMPANY, CHOCOLATE GLASS, CACTUS PATTERN, INDIVIDUAL BERRY BOWL! This Great pre 1910 Art Glass item measures 4 1/8" across and stands 1 7/8" tall. The very strong and Rich Chocolate Glass coloration is the best you will find and the Molded decoration is crisp. As to be expected with Original Greentown Chocolate Glass, this item has a few extremely tiny flea bite roughness spots on the mold lines. These truly do not detract and we mention for accuracy sake. The glass has the normal Chocolate Glass in the making anomalies in coloration and edge stretching. Other than the noted roughness, there are no Chips, cracks or repairs.
