When a black light is held to this item, it lights up and glows the most brilliant Vaseline Green. Even under ordinary lighting, this item glows Green! This is what Vaseline collectors the world round look for. There is no question that this item is a REAL VASELINE GLASS item. There is one very small flat flake underneath one of the 3 ball feet. It is about 1/8" and almost impossible to see let alone photograph. It may well have been caused from being removed from the mold as it is right on a mold line under the foot. A iridescent finish also has true OPALESCENT which glows under black light as well. When you hold the bowl and look at the glass itself on the edge and the Marie (foot ring) the glass is the palest of Ice Green and when lit with the black light, glows yellow/green. We have NEVER seen or heard of another color in Fenton's Antique Holly like this one and believe that it may be a unique one of a kind.
