This item is the fantastic rich Blue Opalescent Non iridescent version of the famous Northwood Rose Show Pattern with loose weave exterior and collar footed bowl. This item measures 9" across and sits 2 3/4" high. The Marie or otherwise known collar rim base measures 3 3/8" across. This is a very scarce and sought after pattern and color. Produced shortly after the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, this would have been considered an exceptional item even when it was first introduced. The Northwood Rose Show Pattern is considered a MUST among Pattern Glass, Art Glass and Carnival Glass collectors the around the world. The finest mold impression on this item is accentuated by the gradual Opalescent color into the rich Aqua Blue Glass. This item color differs greatly from standard Marigold as PUMPKIN is a completely different and fully recognized color of its own. This PUMPKIN color exhibits a stunning and highly iridescent finish and rich, deep color. This item shows the Orange Tree pattern on the front surface and the Bearded Berry pattern on the reverse side. Both strikes are very strong. The iridescent finish on both the front and the back is very good as well. The plate measures 9 1/2" across and sits 1 1/4" high on a flat surface. There are normal in the making Vintage Carnival Glass anomalies such as small interior bubbles, straw-marks etc. There are 4 sawtooth points that have small burst bubbles on their tips that are slightly rough from the manufacture process and one that is slightly clipped.
