| We proudly offer for purchase this highly unusual Frederick Carder Era STEUBEN unsigned shape #2153 Crystal Basket!. This item measures 10 1/2" X 6 3/4" X 4 1/2". The base has a 1 1/8" ground and polished pontil as well as correct age/shelf wear to the base. The handles have the recognized Steuben Berry Prunts where the applied handle attaches to the body of the basket itself. What is so odd and unusual about this item is that it has a very light, thin almost oily slightly iridescent sheen to the basket. It is not damage and this may well be a one of a kind off hand item. The shape, weight, thickness of the handle, thickness of the glass and the size of the ground and polished pontil are all the same as known examples of signed Steuben Shape # 2153 Carder Era Baskets..
