Corpus Artisans Doris Silver was a store where extremely talented maestros worked in the back of her taller. If she liked the pieces that were made she would buy them. The workers rather came and went in between jobs and such. Chato Castillo being one. I have seen numerous names along with the Doris Marks as well as just the Doris marks alone. This work in repousse and with a height of almost 5in. tall is the most dimensional work I think I have ever seen. It really seems more of a sculpture tha...

This Bracelet is a design most recognized by Fred Davis. Hallmarked Mexico Silver and being 7.25in. long and 1.5in. tall makes this bracelet quite a statement maker. The bezels are very well made and there are no dents or chips to the stones or silver. Even though it has an open air design it still weighs 65 grams heavy. Very soft and silky to the touch it is a pleasure to wear.

This pair of Matl earrings are of the double birds design which is quite scarce. They are unmarked and came from a hallmarked, matching Matl necklace and bracelet parure in my collection. Many parure earrings are not hallmarked. However, they are unmarked and the price reflects such. They are 1.25 in. wide and 2 in. long. The carving on the tops is exceptional. They are screwbacks and could be converted to posts. Please call with any questions.

Before William Spratling brought Taxco to life, popular jewelry all over the world was being made by spinning silver and turning it into beautiful designs in filigree. This is one of those early pieces. This example has 3 glowing gold sheen obsidian stones 1 inch tall. The process was time consuming and Mexican smiths were among the best in the world at producing florals, sweeps, and swirls. The center drop is 1.5in. tall and 17.5in. wearable length. Provenance: from a collection of many Mexica...
