RTA Matchstick Vintage Mexican Silver Bracelet
This artist RTA is known for making Antonio Pineda designs. He has signed the piece with design numbers and you can see the hallmark as shown. The piece is heavy and tipped with glowing Amethyst. The height of the bracelet is 1.75in. and the weight is 183 grams super heavy. The inside wearable is approximately 7in. RTA has wrought an excellent example of the Pineda matchstick. The fact is there is almost NO difference what so ever. There is some shadows and some patina showing in the pictures but the condition is superb. For such a heavy old bracelet the pins and barrels are PERFECT AND THAT IS RARE. This bracelet came in its original box and it has kept the amethyst tips in great condition. Any marks to the silver is in the making and the stones have no cracks or chips but they do show 2 striation pin points from the cutting of the stone. This is the closest thing to perfect that I have seen in this design. I love looking at the amethyst tips as you almost never see the matchsticks tipped in amethyst. FABULOUS
