Signed Sigi Pineda with his first shop Plateros that he opened in 1952. The matching bracelet is listed separately on this site. The Necklace and earrings have a weight of 76 grams heavy with the earrings being a magnificent 2.5in. long. The necklace is a comfortable 16in. long, lays smoothly and flows from link to link. The links are 5/8th of an inch at it's widest point and are 1 3/4 inches long. All the pieces have a niello finish that is a striking contrast in color to the almost pure silver. The balls are heavy and thick and without dents or damage. They are riveted strongly in place and that can be seen in the hallmark picture shown. This design is often called the "pea pod" design. A great deal of time and expert craftsmanship went into the making of this masterpiece, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!
