Today we have a vintage Mexican silver parure made by Maestro Sigi Pineda. Sigi has had a long career in handmade jewelry within the Spratling era. His work is heavy, made with excellent stones as this parure also has. The obsidian is extreme sheen on the necklace and you may see silver dots that sparkle on the other pictures which is the camera reacting to the sheen in less light. There is no damage of any kind and this modernist design is a basic to wear with anything. When we see a band around the neck like this we are leery that it might flip up with movement. Please put your fears aside because this one LAYS FLAT and stays that way. One reason is the wearable length is 16.5 approximate. With a weight of 87 grams and a stone that is 1.5in. x 1in. it creates a stunning presence. Earring size is 1.25in. x 1.25in. 73 grams is the bracelet weight and the stone is 1.25in. x 1.25. The hinge in the sides allow give for movement. This is yet another collector quality parure that will make you say, LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!
