These beads I have had for many years. They were certified Pre Columbian by the seller who at the time had a shop and small "museum" of Pre Columbian items in San Francisco. That was included in the box with the beads at the estate auction where purchased. Please call with any questions. There is a 16in. wearable length and a weight of 276 grams. The over all length is 18 inches. These beads are BOLD. When seen they are noticed and of also being important. Beads with this condition and colors are sought after.. We also have a 1.25in. diameter of the largest bead. Wikipedia says this about pre Columbian and pre Columbian era, "While the phrase "pre-Columbian era" literally refers only to the time preceding Christopher Columbus's voyages of 1492, in practice the phrase usually is used to denote the entire history of indigenous Americas cultures until those cultures were vanquished, diminished or extensively altered by Europeans, even if this happened decades or centuries after Columbus's first landing." Stunning and rich, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!
