| Deep red velvet sewing etui is in the form of a little purse- nicely plated brass closing and a beautifully shaped little handle. Closed, it measures 4"x3"x1". Open, it stretches to 11 1/2". The far left section is a deeply beveled glass mirror, the center section has holders for six tools and silken thread. The tools are bone and nickel plated brass. From the left they are: needle case,punch,bodkin,glove hook,pencil,silk thread.Each roughly 3" long. The third section is beautifully embroidered in satin stitch and contains a pressed glass, nickel plated brass topped scent(or smelling salts) bottle in a lovely design.Early 20th century , all in very good condition. | ||||||
